Point #3 Under His Training
God's school of training is different from ours. First of all, He is always right and always fair. He's never out to just teach us a lesson but to impart life to us and change us forever. Every event and every moment in our lives can be used in our training. While in training we may go through the same thing many times and wonder why. It's because we are being seasoned and tested for when the real battles come in life so we will know what to do and how to respond. If it seems you're stuck on a particular subject, rest in knowing that God is training you for something bigger. Is He trying to open your eyes to the impossible being possible? Is He trying to set your soul in a stable place so when the big storm comes you will not fall? Is He just trying to remind you and assure you that all is well and He truly is in charge of everything? Today, God reminded me that He wants me to rest and not react. To look with wonder and anticipation and not worry and anxiety. To KNOW that He is God and no one nor anything else is more powerful than Him! He is the best teacher. Sit at His feet and listen and learn. I love each of you . . . Mom

I like that: Rest and not React. I think I need to learn from you on that one, Mrs. Denise. I feel like when I react, I go against the fact that all is well and God IS in control. The other day I heard about 2 minutes of Charles Stanley's "Can you trust God" message, and I was convicted in 2 minutes! I need to find the whole thing. I need to really comprehend that He wants the best for me and the eternal is what matters most! Romans 8:28!

ReplyDeleteGod is giving you that opportunity as you await Leah's birth. What joy and yet what a stretch for our faith. We begin to really experience the depth of God's amazing love for us and see that it is so much GREATER than we ever imagined. We have to trust Him when we don't know what our baby is saying or why they shed tears. We have to trust Him that He is able and willing to provide much more than we want to for our own children. I encourage you to embark upon this journey of motherhood with faith and not fear, peace and not pain, excitement and not entrapment. You are already a wonderful mom because God said so by placing Leah inside of you and giving you EVERYTHING you need to lead her to Him and to life everlasting. I love you. . . Mom B
