Good evening family! First of all, I thank you for agreeing to participate with me on this journey and my prayer and hope is that it will first of all draw us closer to God and also closer to one another as experience life together. Our book, "The Red Sea Rules" is full of tremendous wisdom because the principles are taken from the true book of wisdom . . . the Bible. We'll begin this week with the Preface and and Rule 1 and see how far we get. I do not want us to rush through this but to receive everything we need in each chapter. Let's get started!!!!
*Rule 1: Realize that God means for you to be where you are.
Sometimes that thought seems really crazy or even cruel. Does God mean for me to go through tough times - seasons of loneliness - desperate situations with unknown endings? The answer is YES! We must understand that it is not because He sets them up, but because we live in this fallen world, with fallen people and our own fallen heart, that sometimes we will indeed be standing at the "Red Sea" with the devil chasing us on our heels. As I think about each of our lives, I know we have faced many and some are staring in those faces again. . . but know this my children - His eye is on the sparrow and I KNOW He watches you. He will make a way where there seems to be no way and where your heart and mind can not feel Him there and where your thoughts are going in every direction. He has PROMISED to NEVER leave you nor forsake you and therefore YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!! I encourage you to go to this video on youtube and view this song (He Is) by Mark Schultz. It has held my soul this week. Let's start the blogging . . . I love each of you

Yay! A post!! I am so grateful for this blog and for your heart to start it, Mrs. Denise. I know it is for such a time as THIS. I need the principles in this book right now just to remind me that I need to trust in Him no matter what the circumstances are around me...Erick's job, this little girl on the way and all the financial extras--I choose not to call them financial stresses :), that this will bring. I know God brought us where we are right now. 7 months pregnant, Joey in the hospital, Erick's job in question, a new home to pay for, etc. He brought us here, He will guide us. love yall! alison
